OMG look what I just got

Anne is the best. These are better than expected and the best early Chrissy present a person could ask for.

PS. I hope you don`t mind me showing them off Anne.

Art/Craft Exhibition (1 posts) - Posted On : 10 Dec 2006 09:21 PM Edit Post | Report Spam
Hi everyone.

I am one of the key organisers for an Art/Craft exhibition for my kids school next year as a fundraiser.

We are looking for people to enter their art/craftwork for display and sale.

The exhibition is not until September but I thought I should start putting the word out.

I will mention that the school is in Bathurst NSW Australia

Anyone interested or who would like further info can contact me on labreu1976@bigpond.com

I am trying to get started on seed bead embroidery and have got some starters instructions however there are two things that aren`t clear.

1. What is Buckram?
2. How do you attach a clasp etc?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Can I get a few opinions please.... (15 posts) - Posted On : 18 Sep 2006 09:08 PM Edit Post | Report Spam
I have seen this necklace at my local bead shop and after talking to a lady the other day about doing her some jewellery for her daughters wedding, I got to thinking, why can`t i do it as a corsage?

I have made it on tigertail but would prefer to do it on Velvet ribbon, I just can quite work out how to attach it.

So I figure all these brilliant minds might be able to offer assistance

Oh and please forgive the shocking photo and the ugly arm lol

Hi all,

My name is Lynn and I have only been beading since about February.

I also quilt and scrapbook.

I am a SAHM who is taking a break from the workforce and my studying.

I attend a bead class on Wednesdays and have learnt some fantastic techniques. I look forward to talking to you all.

Lynn
I have a question (7 posts) - Posted On : 14 Sep 2006 01:40 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
I was about to post some of my pieces. However when it says "My Design" I have a little problem.

I only occassionally design my own piece as I am fairly new to beading.

I most use patterns as the base of a piece and work from there. So I am just kind of wondering if my interpretation of someones work is enough to class it as my own?

I don`t want to be seen as ripping off designs, but we all have to start somewhere.
