| Ok so my husband has recently found the traces of a creative bug...I have been looking for his for years. He just started doing glass sandblasting....how can I help him market and be sucessful? I really want to make sure it works out for him or I may never get him to do something creative again!

Does he have a website? Business Cards? How about doing craft shows... Also showing the items to ALL your friends / family / people at work -- they might buy for early xmas gifts and then it`s word of mouth (Or print out flyers with pics on to hand out to people with the website / phone number on them so people can get in touch with you)
Just a few ideas, hope they help.

Boost Your Marketing Through Clever Packaging.
So you taken time to plan your work - creating the most beautiful creations you can. Spend lengthy time in production and have some lovely items to sell.
You finally get some success with selling them through friends and family and its getting a little exciting...but then your reach is limited and starts to dry up.... Once you have covered everyone you know they have told a few friends - your success relies on your customers knowing you to get more of your items.
It is time to consider your packaging. Did you know that the packaging of your items can significantly boost your sales and take your business to another level.
Top 10 Packaging Tips:
1. Spend time on a clever name. Something short, easy to spell/remember. Your potential customers will not remember spelling so keep it simple. Something they can note down or remember easily. Even two contasting or complimentary words together can be a great memorable name eg. quiet riot, savage gargen, purple princess. Whatever you do - dont go for your name in it "jans jewellery" - that is only memorable to you.
2. Spend time working on a logo - even your clever name in a nice font will only take a few minutes is better than no logo at all.
3. Never ever sell anything that does not include your contact details, a website or even an email address. I cannot emphasise this enough. If your item is given as a gift it leaves the person who knows where the item was bought as it is amazing how a new group of customers can impact on your potential sales.
4. Rather than box packaging that hides the item - go for an upright bag with insert card where your customer can clearly see the jewellery and you can advertise your brand at the same time.
5. Sell on consignment - get as many places to sell your items as possible. Even potential customers will note your name in stores if they like your style of items.
Once your jewellery is out there - give it every opportunity to talk for you. To work to promote you.
