I have seen this necklace at my local bead shop and after talking to a lady the other day about doing her some jewellery for her daughters wedding, I got to thinking, why can`t i do it as a corsage?
I have made it on tigertail but would prefer to do it on Velvet ribbon, I just can quite work out how to attach it.
So I figure all these brilliant minds might be able to offer assistance
Oh and please forgive the shocking photo and the ugly arm lol

Its beautiful, really striking!
My only worry would be about getting it caught on clothes?

Thanks for that Jelli- I have had someone else point that out too, but I am still keen on the idea

I`d go for it but wear it out for a night and see what difficulties you have if any - then you can tweak any areas that need tweaking and end up with a fabulous design

| Ditto... re catching it. However, if you want to go ahead, you could have two layers of the velvet ribbon and run the TigerTail through it. Where you want the spikes to come out punch a small hole on the top layer of ribbon and thread the spikes through each hole. Just a suggestion.

I have to agree with Jelli. The edges are pretty sharp and if not careful it could poke something or someone.
It looks really pretty though. Howbout having it has a hairclip or hair band.

I think it`s beautiful and would work for special occasions and things... but I would totally be worried about forgetting that it is there and poking my eye out... I think though if you were to wear it to a wedding or something... it would compliment a dress well

| My first reaction is how painful this would be with all the hugging and contact that goes on at weddings.. seems very sharp and out there... If anything i would push the wire back - like a tiara for your arm that hugs but doesn`t point out.

I think it would be pretty around someones neck laying flat! It is very beautiful! I want one of my own.

Thanks for your thoughts guys, I am going to keep playing and see what I can work out with it.

Why don`t you look at one of the corsages I have listed here. We make them with wire and embroidery floss, but I think the same technique could apply. We also incorporate ribbon into the floss. They are not sharp and present no "poking" hazards. email me and I`ll be glad to share the technique with you.

| Have you thought about maybe using a wire and curling the ends do they aren`t as sharp?
