Just got these new lampwork beauties for the store.
However I`ve been too busy hoarding them for my own personal use.
So what new goodies have you recently bought? Show them off and make us drool

| I got an ounce of 20 gauge sterling wire and some sodalite. That`s about it this week.
I got this a while ago and have absolutely no idea what to do with him, but he is my favourite thing.
That looks amazing Lynn although it does look a little sharp at the edges. Was it from a beadstore?
Hi,
The edges aren`t sharp- maybe it is just the angle I have taken the pic from?
Yes I got him from my local beadstore. They are a little expensive but she sold out of the first lot so when the second lot came in, I figured I better grab one while i could
I`ve never seen any bead that look like that Lynn. Although i think i`ve seen something like that in dads old fishing tackle box
If you had 2, you could make a pair of fishy earrings
The only problem with that idea JanJ is that they are about 8cm long on their own and they are all different
I will just keep him on the shelf until it hits me
Ooo..you have more than one..goodie..do let us know when you find a good use for the fishie
Hi, I`ve seen fish beads like this one displayed in a necklace (American of course) . It was dangling from a 3-stranded necklace in purple, green & white. Very ostentacious.

nice fishie. there`s a World Market store near my house that sells those things as keychains. i don`t think they were irridescent on the inside though...
as for goodies, i was yard sale-ing w/ my mom last week, and found an old HP laser printer for $5~ add in the new power cord i had to go pick up, and i got a $12 laser printer! granted, it`s uber old, but now i can put lined paper in my books! woot~
[by the way, as you can see from the label, the printer has been named Mujahadeen. i`m a little obsessed with naming things, and i like the non-sensical ones the best.]
edit: sorry, that pic was huge!
$12 for a laser printer..wow..thats a nice bargain. I have one of those old monster size laser printers at work that sounds like a steam train when it prints.
The only problem with old laser printers is the catridge cost a fortune thats if you can still find them.
If i am not mistaked, the term Mujahideen means `holy warrior` in Arabic.

My mum has an old printer like that in her office. When I worked for her, it was hooked up to my computer. Cartridges cost about 70 but we used to get a couple of thousand pages out of it.
She won`t get rid of it because she says that she will never get a printer that can do what it does for the same cost.

"If i am not mistaked, the term Mujahideen means `holy warrior` in Arabic."
yeah! cool, ne? my gameboy was named "A Jaunty Angle" and my computer is named "Suffering Without Intermisison" after one of the Buddhist hells.
the cartridge is about $75, but the one it came with was practically full, so i should be set for a while. it is pretty loud though. oh well, i suppose, (near) beggers can`t be choosers.

I recently bought myself a whole bunch of Swarovski crystals:

Apparently I`m addicted to Swarovski crystals. Just look at the perfect, shiny facets! And the gorgeous, deep colors! And they are incredibly sparkly! You see, anything sparkly is very good to me. And since I looooooove shimmery little things, I ordered a whole bunch of crystals. And I made a pretty rainbow for the picture and all...
Yeah, I`m crazy.

Wow! So many beautiful goodies and so many sparkly crystals. You`ve done well Pavo
Do you buy most of supplies online?
Can`t wait to see what beautiful designs you`ll whip up with all your new supplies.
WOW- where did you get them from?
I have a swarovski addiction too. I just counted mine the other day and I have nearly 4000 ( I sold about 400 the other week too). I can`t stop buying them and I am always looking for new sources
I buy them online, on Artbeads.com. They have some very pretty colors and sizes and they sell them individually. On FireMountainGems you can get a good price if you buy them by the gross (144 units).

OOO Pavoreal You can send those my way!! I wont mind. I love swarovski crystals.
I have not really gotten anything new lately. Just wanted to look in and see what you guys all got.

I just got an order of czech pressed beads...they are for a garden bracelet series that I`m doing.
ooooo I loved all of these!
Our newest purchase is lots and lots of foam! We got a request for a wall piece that we are working on and decided to expand on it a little. So watch for foam wall art coming to Designs to Love soon!
Thats a lot of goodies Moon
Maybe we should start a thread to ask the dreaded question `How much do you spend on craft per month`
Can`t wait for the foam wall triple. That would be interesting to see.
| oh man, if we start asking how much we spend on crafts, i`m gonna have to learn to count higher... (^^;)

I was given this little collection for my birthday yesterday

I went to the Sydney Bead and Gem show last Saturday. Hopped on a plane from Brisbane at 7.00am and got home that night at 10.00pm. Besides the fact that I was absolutely knackered when I got home, I spent tons of money on Hill Tribe Silver, Crystals - mainly blues, greens and purple tones (yes I luv em too - what`s a piece of jewellery with out a packet of Swaro`s) various rolls of Beadalon 19 and 49 stand stringing, Pearls, 925 findings and spacers, some beautiful lampwork beads, bits and pieces for my 10 year old niece who has caught the beading bug from me. (thought I`d teach her to string a basic necklace one-day and now there`s no stopping her, gotta stand back or I get trampled in the rush. Said she was designing the kids jewellery range for me
