My beads look pretty good, but I`m having a really rough time getting them off the mandrels. I`m using release, but they stick anyway. Any hints or secrets out there? I`m breaking more than I`m getting off.

Really glad I found this forum. There are some REALLY talented members here.

Thanks so much,
JoAnne

JoAnne - How long have you been making beads? When I first started I had that same problem. Sometimes if the glass gets wound to tight they can be hard to get off.

Soak them in water for 10 minutes and grasp the mandrel with a pliers. Works for me every time.

The other possibility is some of the release could have flaked off under the bead while applying your base glass without you noticing. Thus the hot glass may be stuck to the mandrel.
