Good morning! I received my invite to join some time ago and finally found a few spare moments to join you all here. I live a tiny fishing village - Hardwicke Bay, in South Australia with my soulmate, Guru. I have 4 daughters, all who have grown up on me and gone off on their own adventures. I have been making jewellery for about 18 years while dabbling in other crafts from time to time, like quilting, painting, mosaics - all sorts of things mainly to decorate our home.
I have a feeling I`m going to run into heaps of old friends here from other groups and looking forward to meeting lots of new friends too!
Love and Blessings, Nita

| Welcome Nita, sounds like you have a multitude of talents and stay busy.I am a retired mother of three adult children and grandmother of seven from8 to 17 so no more babies in the family.I make jewelry which I began about two years or more ago and love it.I do some painting and have been making some Snowglobes before putting all energy into Christmas jewelry and watches.I hope you will find many of your old friends here and consider me a new one....Suzanne

Hi Suzanne & Joy! Thank you for your warm welcome, *waving* Back to Joy! I like the "retired mother" title Suzanne, although I think it`s a job we will never "retire" from, judging by the phone calls I get on occasion from my girls! so far no grandbabies for me, I jokingly told the girls one day that they have been banned from breeding and they took me as been serious!
What style of painting do you do Suzanne? At the moment I favor watercolours, in particular derwent watercolour pencils, it`s like been a little kid with a colouring in book! I`m painting a series of mandalas to give as Xmas card/gifts, I don`t do the Xmas card thing very well, I usually write them all out, put them aside to post or hand out and forget the cards until sometime mid year...... so I prefer make something for my special people instead, this year it`s the mandalas in a timber frame so they can be hung on the wall and enjoyed all year round.
Well I`m off to have a look around here, Love and Blessings, Nita.

| Hi,I use acrylics but am not very good.I did paint some shells and several pairs of earrings but now changed over to beads because it is easier for me.{ have a friend who does her Christmas cards each year.My whole living room wall is hung with them.I love them.Grandbabies will likely come in due time.Though the older I get the harder it is to keep up with them.
