I have cross-stitched in past - but not for ages now! I particularly like counted cross-stitch... I found a very small country inspired design that I liked and then painstakingly enlarged the pattern so I could make a large counted cross-stitch for my kitchen. It`s not perfect but I`m very proud of the effort.

I did pre-children but honestly have more hobbies than time now!! I mostly do silk ribbon embroidery now when I pick up a needle as it is more "instantly gratifying".

I don`t cross stitch that much, but I do needlepoint quite a bit! I make lots of original things with needlepoint - right now, I`m working on a large Nintendo-themed one, it`s taking forever to fill in the background! Hoping to frame it once I`m finished!

I got into cross-stitching several years ago. My grandmother always needlepointed, so I found cross-stitch very interesting and somewhat relaxing. I taught myself how to do it, reading books and finding patterns on the internet. I don`t think it is very popular, but the people that do it really love it!!
