Hi there! I have a few friends that used to sell their knitted mittens on Etsy.com with moderate success.

I have my own handmade jewelry that I would like to try to sell and showcase on Etsy.com. Have any of you had any good experiences with Etsy.com?

It has changed since the last time my friends had sold their mittens there... just wondering what they are like today.

Etsy is a very good site and professionally run too. The only difficulty is getting traffic to your shop as there is so much on there and it is still growing.

Pricing in terms of listing fees and commission is very reasonable, I`d go for it if I were you.

Best of luck

I think I do alright on Etsy. Like Amantia, the hardest work is getting people to your shop, especially if you do jewelry. It is very competitive. Don`t set up shop and expect people to find you right away. I still say go for it. It is very easy to use.

I have been a member of etsy for a year now. I wouldn`t say my sales are booming there! I make jewelry and there is a lot of competition. I would say that the people who are the most successful on etsy spend a lot of time promoting it off line (craft shows, home parties, etc.) It is just as time consuming to promote my shop than it is to make my jewelry!

If you are intend to make an account at etsy.com, its good if you are also a jewelry seller. At etsy, a lot competition between the jewelry seller. Its like a jewelry supermarket that selling a lot of jewelry types and materials.
