What features would you like? (24 posts) - Posted On : 12 Jan 2007 04:13 PM Edit Post | Report Spam
I would like there to be a FAQ (maybe there is but I haven`t been able to find what I`m looking for) place that describes how listings work. I didn`t realize that if I accidentally listed something twice and went back to delete one that they both would show up in the forums. Am I right in thinking that every "edit" really re-lists or makes a double entry?

It`s a little confusing when your gallery is also part of the forums. It`s just going to take a little getting used to I guess. But a place that spelled out how listings, forums and posts work and interact with each other would be useful to novices like me.
Thanks!

I`m finding that trying to sell my crafts on-line is taking up as much, if not more, time than I have to make the items! I`m hoping this is just because starting up takes a large investment of time. I`d love to hear how other people balance this.

I also heard about this site on the Etsy forums.

I have a shop with hand-painted glassware.

As fellow glass artists I`m sure you guys know of the challenges of photographing our artwork. I`ve tried various types of techniques but still have reflection problems. Some of my things are too large for a small light box. Sometimes an item looks great on my computer until I load it onto my shop where the colors are too dark or muted and there`s always that shadow or reflection lurking somewhere!

What are your techniques and tips for photographing glass?

I`m brand new here and have just opened a shop on Etsy. In reading their forum I heard about this place. What better way to get inspired than with other designers. I`m looking forward to getting to know you all...
