People do buy online. Amazon and eBay wouldn`t stay around if people didn`t. I`m not sure how well handcrafted items sell online without a well-recognized name. I`m having a hard time getting myself noticed.

Cool candy, Candy! They have a store around here that makes something similiar, but more with shapes and stuff. Yours are really nice.

I`m not sure how rigid the categories are here. I took a peek at your Etsy shop and I guess you could do either. I believe there are jewelry pieces in Metalsmithing here, right?
Check out this site

I`m fine with ads as long as they`re not pop-ups or ones like that. Those annoy me.
Thanks for making this site Jan.

Any advice? I`m a total metal working newbie. Thanks!

Several projects or nothing is the way I roll. Right now it`s a necklace similar to the leaf one in my gallery for my mom, a necklace to match the aventurine earrings in my gallery for my aunt, and another pair of macrame earrings for this `collection` I`m trying to start and hoping to sell.
I`m also looking into metalworking...taking a class or something.
So many ideas. I need to learn time management.

Thanks so much impopia. I wonder sometimes if people really like what I make.
Nurses, there was snow in New York but by the time it got here it had turned to rain. Right now I prefer rain.
Thanks for the welcome!

I have done cross-stitch and kinda like it. I haven`t done one in a long time, though.

I have a shop on Etsy:
http://lpdesigns.etsy.com
. The jewelry category is very saturated there. Most of the buyers...not all but most, are also sellers. You`ll have to do a lot to promote you shop. It`s a great site though and you can sell if you market it right and price it right. I struggle with both of these. The shop is free but you do have to pay to list and Etsy takes a small commission fee- 3.5%.

New to DTL but not to Etsy. I like it there alot...but I haven`t sold much yet. I`m still hopeful. There are sellers from other countries but being in the US myself I`m not sure how they work out conversion and stuff.
