thanks BGJewelz, i appreciate your advice. i love your plan for 2007, to do shows. That`s a great idea!! Are you just planning on doing them from your home??

I have often wanted to approach boutiques or the like, to get my stuff in the store, but i`m totally scared to do stuff like that. I know, i know....... If i really want to get anywhere, i need to toughen up, and make the bold moves. I guess I haven`t really found the ideal store yet. I don`t want it to be a junky store in Albury, i think i best do some more research!!

Hope your open house goes well, that sounds like fun!! And let me know how your plans are coming for the new year.......

hi Jan,

I think that is a fantastic idea!! I think the fee is fine too. i would be more than willing to pay that fee to set up my gallery as an online shop. A quick question about money though. I guess you are talking in US Dollars?? Would i need to list my prices in US Dollars? Or seeing as how i already have a checkout on my website, it would just be in Australian dollars anyway?? Just wanting to know how the currency conversion would work.......

Please keep me at the top of the list for people to tell if and when you set this feature up. It`s a guaranteed yes from me!!

Thanks Jan, your ideas and your vision and commitment are amazing. I have been seriously thinking of giving up the whole jewellery making scene. But this new idea is just sparking my interest again..........

hi all!! thanks for your good luck wishes!! i looked into Etsy, and sadly, i decided not to go with it. I had bad luck on ebay, and my own website is failing dismally!!! i`m kind of loathed to pay to list my items, with little to no hope that they will even sell........

I`m wondering if maybe i set my sights a bit too high, and maybe i should just pack it in.........

not fishing for compliments on my work, don`t get me wrong, just wondering if other people have ever felt like that???

I was just wondering where and how often the ads would be displayed? I guess i have such a limited knowledge of the hard stuff involoved in making a website, i don`t really know how it would work.......

I still would be more than willing to pay for an ad, and don`t really know what the standard rate is for a monthly ad?!? I think image ads would benefit us more. Like, i would be more likely to look at something that had an eyecatching image, rather than just text!! But i guess that`s harder for you to add in to the website, therefore more work means defeating the point......

I`m really excited to see your draft ad system, and your other plans. I wish I had the balls to start something so successful!! You`re a champion Jan!!

Hi Jan,
I think everyone that uses this site is thrilled with it!! I was thinking that the premium account is a great idea. I would be more than willing to pay to use this site. I was thinking, and i don`t know how others might feel about this, but what about us being the ones who pay for ads??

What i mean is, if we paid a fee, and you could display an add to promote our separate businesses? Like i could pay you a fee, and you could display an add for my website. If we paid, and had adds to promote our own business, it would get seen more often than if people just stumbled across our designs!!?!! I guess you are talking in American Dollars, and it would depend on the size of the add and things like that, but i reckon i would be happy to pay $50 or so, for a small add. I guess that`s only about $39 American, but it`s just an idea.......

I hope you find the right solution, and i certainly don`t envy you the position, but i`m sure all us crafters will stick behind you, whatever you decide. I would be more than willing to donate also....... or to pay a yearly membership fee..... how much do you need to raise annually?

I love all your pictures, they are so cute. Sadly, since becoming a mum, the only thing i really take photos of other than jewellery is my son, Max. i love this pic of him.....

Hi Jan,
I have a website (www.maxsmum.com.au) where i sell my jewellery and accessories!! I update it myself, so it might take some study (i`m still learning!!) but i would love to link designstolove to my website. This is by far my most favourite website of all time!!! I love looking at everyone`s designs, and chatting to other beaders like me....... Thanks again, fantastic way to show off, and i think everyone likes a bit of praise now and again.......

hi all!! I have never heard of Esty, but i`m going to check it out now. Thanks for all your different views too. I list on ebay sometimes, and never sell. And i rarely sell on my website, so i`ll try anything right about now. Thanks again, you`ve given me hope......

i know the cut off date has been already, but i`d be interested to hear if it is only for Canadians too?? Does it count if you`ve BEEN to Canada?? hahahaha. Are there other events like this that we could find out about, to get more coverage for our designs???
