This is Rem our 9 month old Border Collie taken of course this past Xmas. I made Xmas cards with this pic.
Unfortunately, we lost Jet (see pic/post 22.12.06 above) March `07 to cancer. The only way to fix my pain was to get another furry baby.

Nothing wrong with that Bec... at least your style will be original from the perspective that we`re yet to see wedding cake toppers here with cartoon appeal....BTW, Your blog has some pretty cool little characters.

Yes I`ve used Vistaprint too. I`m in Australia. My only problem was my package got lost in the xmas mail last year.
Vistaprint were very good and did a reprint for me at no extra charge. Am happy with everything I received. The specials are good at times, where you only pay for postage.

Moo sounds good am going to check them out.

This display is one I set up last year for my 10year old Niece, Samantha who is also a budding beader.
She sold about $120 worth of beaded goodies and was thrilled.

Here`s pic of my April 07 Jewellery Open Day. This one was held at my sisterinlaws house, in their Gallery which is used for Art Classes mainly. Anyway we had 3 people with Jewellery displays (including myself) a sculptured ceramic artist and water colour artist that day. We opened at 10.00am and closed at 4.00pm,. A good stream of people through most of the day.

And this is Jet our Border Collie who is way to smart for his own good. He has one Blue eye which always seems to give away what he`s thinking. We love him, he`a a ton of fun particularly when he tries to talk to us first thing every morning.

How do you promote your craft? (7 posts) - Posted On : 10 Dec 2006 12:24 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
I recently organised to have Postcards printed with all my details. I plan to use these to promote my business via letter box drops etc.
I also give a little stack of business cards to all my customers so they can hand them to their friends and in some cases complete strangers who ask about the Jewellery they`re wearing.

Just to clarify you can post links or give out an address that will take people straight to your designs on this site
eg mine is:
http://bstoopman.designstolove.com
so yours would be
http://dlenheim.designstolove.com
Hope that helps.

Hi TripleWillow,
Not sure what a Pampered Chef party is, but if its like Party Plan for any type of sales then you`re on the mark.
Basically you send out your invite. I send mine out at least 6 weeks before (as everyone just seems to be so busy these days) I invite all my friends, relatives, anyone I know basically, and ask them to bring at least one friend..
The party I held yesterday at home netted me around 50 people, we had four designers showing their work (all family members) and we made around $1500 (aussie) between us. I took in around $900 in sales and orders.
I supply drinks and nibbles, a lucky door prize (which can be a gift voucher (search the net for details of gift vouchers then make up you`re own design, terms and conditions) or anything you like in fact.
I also supply free gift wrapping, just acid free tissue paper and organza bags all which can be bought wholesale if you have a business number or over the Net. I found people love the free organza bags..
If you want any other help or info am happy to assist.
Bernadine

Some good and bad news (40 posts) - Posted On : 30 Oct 2006 07:39 PM Edit Post | Report Spam
Hi Jan,
Craft related adds are fine by me. Am sure you`d have no problem finding online craft and bead suppliers who`d be happy to have an advertisting banner on Designs to love.

The issue with subscriber service is that you may loose lots of members who can`t afford the sub, eg stay at home mums, people only starting out and looking for a market, those who already have their own websites, and those who craft just for fun. Not to mention the nightmare of administering a sub-scription service....

One of the great things about this site is the forum for chat about craft related things. It would be a shame to loose that.

Maybe you can limit the amount of space allocated to each user for posting pics. This way users are forced to delete pics from their galleries before posting new ones once they reach their allocated space.

Where Can I buy... (12 posts) - Posted On : 30 Oct 2006 02:39 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Hi Heather,
Have you thought about making tassels yourself?
Shouldn`t be too difficult, a long cone, some wire to make a head pin and chain, you could do a nice wire wrap at the top of the cone that could then be attached to your necklace...
I`m feeling inspired to have a go myself.
What are you working on? (19 posts) - Posted On : 30 Oct 2006 02:29 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
This is what I`m working on at the moment.
I call this my six pack of earrings. I`ve made that many earrings in the last few weeks that one would think that I`d be sick of the sight of them..... but sadly no.
Anyway all these goodies are for my first jewellery party on the 18th Nov.
Check out my website to see what else I`ve been up to lately
