Embarrassingly newbie post (5 posts) - Posted On : 15 Jan 2008 12:30 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
I am a very newbie myself too. What is the difference between post a message and subscribe to thread? As you can tell, I am not only a newbie, I am pretty computer illiterate too. All the help you can give me would be GREATLY appreciated.
Do you wear jewellery? (3 posts) - Posted On : 12 Jan 2008 04:58 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Yes I wear lots of different kinds of jewelry. I do mix silver & gold. Please wear rings . . no one will be looking at your finger shape, they will be admiring your lovely rings and other jewelry. I love making jewelry and I thoroughly enjoy giving it as gifts to all kinds of people. Yes, even those that I do not know. If I meet someone and they say, " Oh, I love that", I am apt to take it off and give it to them if it is something I have made myself. It makes me feel good to know that someone else likes what I have made and I feel smiley all day long from their kind words about my work (fun).
I need some help please (6 posts) - Posted On : 12 Jan 2008 04:45 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Try Szarka`s pages/websites/galleries, etc. She has been a tremendous help to me as I am new to beading. She is on this website under that name. Hope this will help you too.

Dear Jan, Many, many thanks for a great site. A wonderful and inspiring place for all of us to share our work, thoughts, dreams and ideas. A kind place I am not very computer literate, so I still cannot accomplish all that there is to master and monitor here, but I will just keep trying to figure out how to share things with everyone. Szarka put a link on her web page to you and I am Sooooo grateful. I hope to make a lot of new friends who love crafts and beauty. God Bless.
How to keep silver clean W/O continual polishing? Ideas? (7 posts) - Posted On : 08 Jan 2008 09:54 PM Edit Post | Report Spam
Hello Everyone,
Many thanks for all the wonderful works of art. I am wondering, for intricate and hard to reach places in designs, how are you keeping your pieces clean & shiny? I have expensive jewelry cleaner but still find dark places in tight spots and it drives me a little nutty. (I have the strips to put into my storage boxes with the jewelry but it doesn`t seem to help).
Do you have a pet? (24 posts) - Posted On : 08 Jan 2008 08:28 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Oh my! They are all so beautiful & faithful, loving companions. We used to have a farm with lots and lots of pets but now live in the suburbs with a tiny yard. Our Greyhound (Grace) died on June 9th. while having her teeth cleaned at the vet`s. We cannot undergo that kind of loss again. Our hearts are still broken. Second time for us. Our first Greyhound was E.G. and she too was a magnificent friend and companion. I love all animals. Two of our 5 children have farms and all have pets. God love them one and all.
What do you do? (26 posts) - Posted On : 07 Jan 2008 09:57 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Retired customer service rep. for a huge energy company. Loved it most of the time. We carried it all: Electricity, Oil, Gasoline, Natural Gas Pipelines, Coal, Jet Fuel, etc., etc. Customers from all over the world. My job was to fix problems and keep everyone happy forever. In my spare time, I raised my five children. Love to cook and garden. Rockhounding, and being in the woods and mountains was my favorite spare time fun and I used to take the whole family with me. learned silver & gold metalsmithing nights and took a couple of college courses in that. Now I am having a wonderful time learning to do some beading with semi-prescious gemstones and F.W. Cultured pearls. I enjoy learning new things & making new friends. Hope to make lots of acquaintances here.

Hello Teak3600 - Relax and have fun. Remember to have a hostess gift for your friend and maybe do up a couple of free drawing jewelry pieces that have been wrapped as a surprise for those who attend. (Everyone puts their name on a piece of paper, put the names into a bowl and have the hostess draw out the winner of your surprise gift(s). It can be a lot of fun and exciting to "win" something for attending as a thank you gift. Have a great New Year. Bev
Be careful to buy beads online (9 posts) - Posted On : 04 Jan 2008 09:10 AM Edit Post | Report Spam
Dear Necie, I am sorry to hear you have had some trouble with on-line shopping. I guess we have all had some difficulties in our shopping experiences. I noticed on this very site though that Szarka has a page here and I have been purchasing from her e-Bay site for a long time and I have always been very happy with her prices and quality. I believe she is a very fine lady and a true gem to all of us who are trying to create nice jewelry at reasonable prices. So, if you like, give her site a try. You can even say, "Bev" sent you if you like. I believe that you will be very happy if you do buy something from her. (I am sorry to sound like an advertisement, but I really do appreciate her very much). Don`t be discouraged. I wish you well and happiness. Bev
