Lamkins Soft Toy Lamb Pattern (1 posts) - Posted On : 26 Jan 2008 10:20 PM Edit Post | Report Spam

Lamkins - 9”/23cm
Cute and cuddly and ready to snuggle up to, Lamkins makes a lovely bedtime buddy for toddlers (and even for little babies… just use safety eyes or better still, sew French knots instead of beads for the eyes.)

Lamkins also make great gifts for expectant mums. I once made a pair of lambs for a friend who was expecting twins and in true Aussie fashion, they were christened Bruce and Sheila. Lamkins is a simple pattern and would be easy even for a beginner. Fleece gives the best cuddliest feel but any stretch fabric should do.

Princ Charming Soft Toy Frog Pattern (1 posts) - Posted On : 26 Jan 2008 10:16 PM Edit Post | Report Spam

Prince Charming has many adoring fans around the globe, but he is still waiting for his princess’ kiss.

His beanbag belly makes him very posable. He is often found dangling on the back of a chair or on a computer monitor. He is easy to make with a choice of a very simple felt cut-out crown for beginners or a sewn crown for the more experienced. He`s made of fleece and corduroy but can be made from most materials.

Make a Prince Charming Froggy for your kiddies or colleagues, for a nursery or baby shower gift. With his googly eyes and pleading expression he’ll definitely get his fair share of kisses!

Matryoshka Dolls (1 posts) - Posted On : 09 Dec 2007 12:37 AM Edit Post | Report Spam

These 5 Russian Dolls are the latest addition to my range of DiDi Dolls.
Each one is hand stitched from red felt with appliqued scarves and flowers. They have black hair and cute little embroidered and appliqued faces.
Each doll has a tiny pocket on her back stitched with the words `DiDi Doll` containing a slip of paper with the date of creation. I haven`t given them names, mainly because I`m not really an expert on Russian names!
Their sizes are approx. 4.25 inches, 3.5 inches, 2.75 inches, 2.25 inches and a tiny 1.75 inches and they are plumply stuffed with Polyfill.
These Russian Dolls are looking for a loving home. (As with all my DiDi Dolls, they are not suitable for young children.)
Squiffi the Beer Monster (1 posts) - Posted On : 09 Dec 2007 12:34 AM Edit Post | Report Spam

The perfect gift for the beer monster in your life!
Squiffi is a beer swilling member from the Scari branch of the DiDi Doll family tree.
He is hand stitched from lime green felt with an appliqued pint of beer on his body. He has freaky swirly eyes and random stitching for his hair and mouth.
Squiffi has a tiny pocket on his back stitched with the words `DiDi Doll` containing a slip of paper with his name and date.
He is approx. 5" tall and plumply stuffed with Polyfill.
Squiffi is looking for a loving home. (As with all my DiDi Dolls, he is not suitable for young children.)
Miniature Fairy with Dragonfly (1 posts) - Posted On : 08 Dec 2007 11:39 PM Edit Post | Report Spam

This miniature fairy is sitting on a crystal rock formation in a desert display. She is holding a small dragonfly who is completely posable and can stand on his own.

I created her from polymer clay over a wire armature without using any molds, then dressed her in silk with with a wreath of tiny flowers I made from fabric and jute threads.

She would be about 4 1/2" if she were standing.
Sleeping Fairy on a Lily Pad (2 posts) - Posted On : 08 Dec 2007 11:32 PM Edit Post | Report Spam

This tiny fairy has fallen asleep on soft water lily flower. She was created from Kato clay over a wire armature without the use of any molds. She is a one of a kind sculpture.

If she were standing as tall as she could, she might make it to 4 inches tall. Her hair is Tibetan lambs wool in a golden shade of blonde, her headpiece was made from a jewelry finding, as is her her silver arm bangle. I dressed her in a tiny swatch of white silk for a top, and her brief skirt is a fluffy specialty yarn.
