About zayday and his/her work

The name ZAYUNU means in Ancient Sumerian, adornment, to adorn, to beautify.

I have been working in the Jewellery field for over 20 years now. I started when I left secondary school to do a 2-year Crafts Course in Jewellery foundation and learnt the skills of Diamond Mounting, Gem setting, Casting, Jewellery Design, Silver smithing and Etching.

Wanting to explore beading and colour within jewellery, I started looking up books on bead weaving, bought myself a bead loom and started to bead weave as a hobby. After more experimenting with wire and bead and the metal work techniques that I learned on the Foundation course, Zayunu by Design was born.
