Combining yarn work and bead work – brilliant!

This piece is not for the faint of heart. Its bold cluttered style is reminiscent of the Baroque style, very full and ornate.
I crocheted the layered band with Coats Aunt Lydia`s Classic Crochet Thread size 10. Seed beads are sewn by hand into the bandd and various beads are inserted into the spaces and loops. The lower edge consists of 2 layers, one of picot loops on top and a solid scalloped base from which I have hung a variety of drops and strings of beads.

This choker will fit a smaller neck, up to about 12 1/2".
