This is an Example of a custom piece.
Imagine a piece like this but with any content that is special to you.
I can`t get enough of symmetry and detail.
The butterfly art really works for me, from a distance it`s one thing, then close up, it`s another. If I can add a bit of naughtiness into the detail then I will.
In this example each Butterfly is made up from an illustrated 1970`s "Book Of Country Walks" from the UK, specifically a forest walk in the Midlands. The butterfly words, maps and images are painstakingly chosen, hand cut, hand sewn and attached.
I love the illustrations in this book and the rich mix of text and images translates well to the Butterfly pieces. If you are interested in any particular area in the UK, do get in touch and I`ll see if it`s contained in the book.
Alternatively if you simply like the forest/outdoor/rambling theme.....we can do that in a non area specific style.
The piece comes in a black wood shadow box measuring 28.5cm x 23.5cm (outer dimensions of the frame) which can be either freestanding or hung.
I wholly welcome custom projects, think about locations that are special to you, places you have lived, your honeymoon destination, places you love. I will source books, maps, lyrics, quotes or anything you require,
